Join us for a fantastic Porty night out. Bring your granny, your neighbour, your friends who can dance, and those who can’t. Local band Da Hooley keeps you dancing, The Skylark quenches your thirst (and you’ll definitely work up a thirst!) – you get a great night out, and together we raise funds for local Porty groups that are working to benefit our community.

The 6th annual FluteFling Scottish Flute Weekend comes to Bellfield, promoting the traditional flute revival and whistle playing in Scotland, with workshops, special guests and sessions.

Luminate Festival – Coming of Age: The Professors of Logic
Saturday 11 May, 7.30pm – 9.30pm, FREE

As part of their annual festival, join Scotland’s creative ageing organisation Luminate at Bellfield for a free performance of light-hearted songs about growing older – a genre described as ‘Post-Menopausal-Post-Folk’ – by five-piece band The Professors of Logic. Not to be missed!

Gnawa Trance Fusion + The Sound Rays
Friday 31 May, 7pm – 9pm, tickets £10 (£8.45 early bird), £6.50 conc., kids go free

Gnawa Trance Fusion play a joyful groove based on Moroccan gnawa music but mixed with fiddle, saxophone, guitar and Ugandan xylophone. In this special family-friendly event they are joined by Planet Earth Rock and Roll house band Sound Rays, with visuals by video artists Bertie Fritsch and Michael Gass.

Fruitmarket Gallery Artist’s Talk: Katie Paterson
Saturday 15 June, 5pm – 6pm, FREE

Artist Katie Paterson will be in conversation at Bellfield the evening before she brings her artwork First There is a Mountain to Portobello Beach. Paterson has created a set of buckets in the form of world mountains, which the public are invited to use to help build sand mountain ranges across Portobello Beach.
